Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will perform victim service, advocacy and support duties. You will accept official reports of sexual assault by assisting the victim in the reporting process. You will collaborate and consult with other SAPR personnel on the installation. You will facilitate the planning, scheduling, and delivering of training. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying primary prevention principles, sexual assault dynamics, and local social services delivery systems, concepts, principles and theories and community resources for sexual assault, victim advocacy, and the prevention and response to provide one-one-one victim advocacy assistance and information to sexual assault victims; 2) Effectively coordinating victim services (e.g. medical, legal, mental health, and investigative) with various agencies by applying knowledge of military, Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DON), the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program, local, state, and federal laws, and military regulations pertaining to victims of sexual assault; 3) Employing professional, verbal and written communication methods and techniques to effectively communicate with all levels of management, staff, and intervening agencies and present training; 4) Employing interpersonal skills and professional, verbal and written communication methods and techniques to build trust and develop supportive relationships with military personnel and families of diverse backgrounds (racial, ethnic, religious, socioeconomic), sexual orientation, and gender identifies; and 5)Accepting official reports of sexual assault by assisting the victim in the reporting process.6) Utilizing various office filing systems and methods to maintain an accurate system for SAPR program data collection and reports. Education Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess one of the following: Successful completion of a behavioral or social science degree, or a degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position being filled OR A combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
