Out client is seeking a Mainframe Programmer to develop and enhance applications supporting Defined Contribution initiatives. The role involves analysis, design, development, and deployment of Batch and CICS solutions using COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS. You will collaborate with cross-location teams in an Agile environment and contribute to high-quality software delivery. The position requires strong communication, problem solving, and effective use of mainframe tools such as ENDEVOR and CONTROL-M.

Rate: $34.00 to $44.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance mainframe applications that support Defined Contribution projects.
• Design, build, and deploy Batch and CICS applications.
• Collaborate with business partners and geographically distributed team members.
• Apply mainframe tools including ENDEVOR, FILE-AID, ABEND-AID, and CONTROL-M.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery.
• Analyze issues, troubleshoot abends, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Support Workplace Investing initiatives through stable and maintainable solutions.

Experience Requirements:

• 2 to 7 years of relevant technology experience.
• Hands-on COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS on the mainframe.
• Experience developing and deploying Batch and CICS applications.
• Proficiency with ENDEVOR, FILE-AID, ABEND-AID, and CONTROL-M.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and collaborate with cross-location teams.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with high initiative and dedication.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related technology field.
