About the Opportunity
Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Epic Applications Analyst for a 6-month contract opportunity with one of our valued healthcare clients in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Epic professional looking to contribute at a high level within a complex healthcare environment.
Position Summary
The Senior Epic Application Analyst is responsible for advancing system functionality and optimizing operational efficiency across assigned Epic applications. This role involves intermediate to advanced analysis, design, configuration, build, testing, and implementation within a large healthcare information systems environment.
You will serve as a key technical resource, ensuring technology is integrated into effective workflows while supporting end users, resolving complex issues, and contributing to training initiatives. This position reports to an ISD Manager or above and may assume higher-level project responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced system analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of Epic applications
- Ensure seamless integration of technology into operational workflows
- Provide ongoing consultation, troubleshooting, and complex problem resolution
- Support and mentor other analysts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and usability
- Contribute to end-user training and documentation
- Lead or assist with higher-level projects and system enhancements
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree (preferred)
- Epic Certification (Required)
Experience & Skills
- 4+ years of current progressively responsible experience in healthcare information systems or large corporate systems development environments
- Experience in system analysis, design, build, testing, and implementation
- Strong working knowledge of hospital operations
- Previous Epic or other Health Information Systems experience required
- W2 Employment (not C2C or C2H)
- Proven ability to support and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience mentoring or assisting other analysts
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application support, development tools, and methodologies
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership growth and ability to guide others
