Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Shipper with a minimum of 1-year experience in forklift operation, shipping, and palletizing. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and measure using a tape measure and convert fractions to decimals and vice versa. You will be responsible for packaging and palletizing products, operating forklifts, and completing shipping paperwork.
Responsibilities
Operate sit-down forklifts and manage shipping tasks following customer orders.
Palletize products and transport them within the shipping department.
Measure steel plates and grind and deburr imperfections.
Package products in appropriately sized containers.
Load steel plates onto trucks using a forklift for shipping.
Maintain cleanliness of the bench and work area.
Learn different grades and gauges of materials.
Complete necessary shipping paperwork and handle material.
Essential Skills
1+ years of forklift operation (sit down) and shipping experience.
Ability to read and measure with a tape measure up to 1/32 inch.
Experience in converting fractions to decimals and vice versa.
Proficiency in reading instructions, drawings, and prints.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Work Environment
Work in a family-owned business with approximately 40 employees between Coatesville and Pottstown locations. The company specializes in machining stainless steel products for various industries. Expect a mix of older and state-of-the-art machinery, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. The team thrives on attendance and teamwork, and you should be comfortable working outdoors in varying temperatures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
