Pay Range: $105 - $110 per hour
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory Consultant to support a major Epic upgrade and ongoing optimization initiatives. This role will focus on system build, testing, training, and workflow improvements, while partnering with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and system performance. The consultant will also play a key role in troubleshooting, reporting, and supporting go-live activities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and support Epic upgrade activities including review, build, testing, and training
- Support Ambulatory optimization efforts such as Pharmacy Win Room, AI initiatives, and cloud migration
- Configure, validate, and maintain Epic Ambulatory application settings and workflows
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align business needs with system capabilities and governance standards
- Develop and execute test plans; document results and ensure system integrity
- Train end users and provide ongoing support for workflows and system functionality
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and manage escalations
- Design and support reports using Reporting Workbench, including advanced configurations
- Provide go-live, rollout, and post-implementation support
- Maintain documentation for build, testing, and training materials
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and enhance system performance
Must-Have Skills: - Strong experience with Epic Ambulatory build, upgrades, and optimization
- Hands-on experience with testing, training, and go-live support
- Proficiency in Reporting Workbench and data analysis
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system and workflow issues independently
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
Industry Experience: - Healthcare IT experience required
- Experience supporting Epic implementations or upgrades in clinical environments
- Familiarity with ambulatory care workflows, primary care operations, and healthcare systems governance
- Experience working in fast-paced, enterprise healthcare environments with cross-functional teams
