HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our trauma program. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise and passion for community health to design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive trauma injury prevention initiatives that support our mission of patient-centered care. Working collaboratively with trauma physicians, nurses, emergency services, community partners, and hospital leadership, you will analyze trauma data to identify injury trends, high‑risk populations, and opportunities for prevention, then translate those findings into evidence‑based educational programs and outreach activities. The RN Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator will coordinate and deliver community education on topics such as fall prevention, motor vehicle and pedestrian safety, violence prevention, and safe behavior practices across the lifespan. You will develop teaching materials, host classes and events on‑site and in the community, participate in health fairs and school programs, and represent the trauma center in local, regional, and state injury prevention coalitions. In collaboration with the trauma registry team, you will track outcomes, monitor program effectiveness, and prepare reports and presentations that support trauma center performance improvement and accreditation requirements. This position is ideal for an experienced registered nurse who is comfortable working independently, leading interdisciplinary initiatives, and communicating with diverse groups, including patients, families, first responders, educators, and community leaders. You will be responsible for maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of trauma best practices, national injury prevention guidelines, and regulatory standards, and for integrating these into the hospital’s trauma and injury prevention strategies. The coordinator will also assist with staff education, orientation, and ongoing competency related to trauma and injury prevention principles. At HCA Healthcare, you will be part of a culture rooted in compassion, teamwork, innovation, and integrity. You will collaborate closely with an engaged trauma team and have access to robust professional development, including opportunities to attend relevant conferences, obtain advanced trauma and injury prevention certifications, and grow your career within one of the nation’s leading healthcare organizations. This role is primarily based in a hospital and community setting, with regular on‑site interaction and some local travel for outreach events. If you are an RN who is passionate about improving outcomes for trauma patients and reducing preventable injuries in the community, we invite you to bring your skills and ideas to HCA Healthcare and make a meaningful impact every day.
