In this role, you will use your clinical expertise as a registered nurse to coordinate trauma care for female patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support program development that aligns with trauma, emergency, and women’s health standards of care. You will oversee and track trauma cases involving women, assist in triage and ongoing patient assessment, and help ensure that evidence-based protocols are followed throughout the continuum of care, from admission through discharge and follow-up. The RN Coordinator Trauma Womens works closely with physicians, surgeons, OB/GYN providers, emergency department clinicians, social workers, and ancillary staff to promote seamless, compassionate care. You will participate in trauma alerts and activations, help organize and communicate care plans, and serve as a clinical resource for trauma and women’s health issues. You will support trauma documentation and data collection, assist with quality improvement initiatives, and help prepare for internal and external trauma performance reviews and surveys. In partnership with leadership, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and clinical pathways that address the unique needs of female trauma patients. Education and collaboration are key aspects of this position. You will help provide education to nurses and other staff on trauma protocols, injury patterns unique to women, and best practices in coordination of trauma and women’s services. You may assist with orientation and competency validation for staff caring for trauma patients and participate in drills, simulations, and debriefings to continuously improve readiness and outcomes. You will work with data from trauma registries and internal reporting systems to identify trends, monitor compliance, and support initiatives that enhance patient safety and quality. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment. You will use electronic medical records and trauma documentation systems to track patient care, support accurate coding and reporting, and communicate effectively with the care team. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, patient-centered mindset are essential. You will liaise with patients and families to provide education about injuries, treatment plans, and available support resources, promoting understanding and engagement in the care process. At HCA Healthcare, you will be part of a culture that values compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning. You will have opportunities to grow professionally through access to education, training, and career development within a leading healthcare organization. This position allows you to make a meaningful impact on trauma outcomes and women’s health, contributing to safer, higher-quality care for patients in your community while working alongside dedicated colleagues who share a commitment to excellence and integrity.
