Job Description

Recruiter

The Recruiter role is responsible for recruiting top talent into the organization through traditional and innovative recruiting channels. This position will be expected to proactively market Southwest Transplant Alliance as an employer of choice and seek passive and active candidates for open positions.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Communication

  • Respond to job applicants in a reasonable amount of time to foster positive candidate experiences.
  • Conduct applicant phone screenings, administer assessments, and deliver employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Communicate important employment information during offer delivery such as benefits, compensation, orientation, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor of Recruitment to create consistent branding for recruitment.
  • Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and maintain supportive relationships.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback on the recruiting process.

Time Management

  • Monitor and manage employee requisitions to maintain hiring momentum.
  • Manage current candidate and internal transfer activity within ATS.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment pipelines for market-driven positions.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and hiring process timelines with hiring managers.

Attention to Detail

  • Maintain and understand recruitment metrics such as time to fill, offer acceptance, and vacancy management to track hiring efficiency.
  • Screen resumes/applications to evaluate applicants on their ability to perform essential job functions by assessing their skills, qualifications, and education.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal procedures throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness in candidate documentation and tracking within ATS and other systems.
  • Adheres to People Services' policies and procedures, ensuring consistency of practice.

Problem-Solving

  • Use traditional and non-traditional resources such as career fairs, community events, and online platforms to promote the organization and attract talent.
  • Develop job postings both internal and external to ensure high visibility and alignment with market trends.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the purpose of the role.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration with an emphasis in Human Resources is required. A combination of alternative education and experience may be considered in lieu of the formal education requirements.
  • HRCI Professional in HR (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years in recruitment/talent acquisition is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare or OPO recruiting is required.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Current Driver's License is required and maintained with an acceptable driving record as defined by STA policy.

  • Problem-Solving: Recognizes when something isn't working, figures out what's causing the problem, and takes steps to fix it. Know when to ask for help and follow through to make sure the issue is resolved.

Compliance:

  • This position is classified as OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category III. Employees in this role are not routinely expected to perform tasks that involve contact with blood, bodily fluids, or other potentially infectious materials.
  • While exposure risk is minimal, employees are expected to follow organizational safety policies and report any potential exposure incidents immediately.
  • This role requires compliance with HIPAA and all confidentiality standards related to patient, donor, employee, and organizational information. Employees must safeguard all confidential information and disclose it only as permitted by law and organizational policy.
