Marshfield Clinic – Archive is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant Inpatient to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within Marshfield Clinic Health System – Marshfield Children’s. As part of a large, integrated pediatric care provider serving central and northern Wisconsin, you will support nurses and providers in delivering safe, family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents in an inpatient setting. In this role, you will provide direct, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility. You will obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, intake and output, and other routine measurements in the electronic medical record, promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN. Under the direction of licensed nursing staff, you will assist with basic procedures, maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, and support infection prevention practices through proper hand hygiene, equipment cleaning, and isolation precautions. You will work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, physicians, therapists, and other allied health professionals, contributing to a patient-first culture built on compassion, integrity, and continuous improvement. You will help prepare patient rooms, restock supplies, transport patients and equipment, and provide comfort measures to patients and families, including answering call lights, responding to needs promptly, and communicating in a calm, respectful, and age-appropriate manner. The role requires strong observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established care plans and hospital policies. You will participate in team huddles, report on patient status during shift handoffs, and engage in ongoing education and skills training to maintain competency.
