Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and facilities management sector, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Lyndhurst, VA. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an essential part of the maintenance department supporting the overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance mechanic skills, ability to do maintenance repairs, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Lyndhurst, VA

Pay Range:$24.00 an hour 

Shift: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Perform general facility maintenance to interior and exterior of the building, fixtures, appliances, and equipment
• Schedule and oversee third-party contractors for repairs or maintenance
• Inspect ladders, dock doors, dock lights, dock plates, and personnel doors for safe operation
• Maintain Preventative Maintenance schedules and logs for all buildings and equipment
• Identify and repair faulty equipment, ensuring safety and operational standards are met

What's Needed?

• Minimum of two years maintenance and repair experience
• Strong mechanical ability
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to pass background check and urine drug screen
