LHH is assisting a respected Nashville law firm in its search for a Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal with experience in insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation. This role provides critical support to attorneys handling high-volume, complex litigation matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide litigation support to attorneys in insurance defense and medical malpractice cases
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence
  • Manage case files, calendars, and critical deadlines in state and federal courts
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial logistics
  • Assist with document management, e-filing, and trial exhibit preparation
  • Communicate with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel as directed
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in insurance defense and/or medical malpractice litigation
  • Strong knowledge of Tennessee state and federal court procedures
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, e-filing systems, and legal document management software
  • Ability to handle multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment
