Essential Functions:

• Accurately pick and pack items based on customer orders.
• Ensure product quality by selecting fresh, unexpired items and adhering to food safety standards.
• Communicate with customers via the app to handle any changes or product substitutions.
• Communicate any concerns and/or opportunities to increase sales to Store Management.
• Follow store-specific processes for navigating aisles and scanning items.
• Manage multiple orders efficiently while maintaining speed and accuracy.
• Operate with care in handling and packing fragile or temperature-sensitive items.
• Processing orders in a timely manner and completing the in-store purchase successfully.
• Preparing items for pick-up.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Must be 21 years or older (purchase may include alcoholic beverages).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk/stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of grocery items and ability to make appropriate substitutions.
• Smartphone with the Instacart Shopper app installed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in grocery shopping, retail, or customer service.
• Familiarity with various store layouts and product locations.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to multitask under pressure.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills for managing substitutions or unavailability of products.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.).
• Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
• Ability to push/pull carts filled with groceries.
• Reaching, bending, and squatting to retrieve products from shelves.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Pay range:

$20-25/hour

Travel Requirements:

Full-service shoppers must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Other Duties:

There may be opportunities to cross-train and work in other positions throughout the store.
