Job Description

Client: Major Pharmaceutical Client Duration: 24+ Months Contract Location: Plainsboro, NJ (Remote commutable is acceptable) Pay Rate: $70.00-$78.00 per hour (W‑2) Purpose The Fleet Management Manager is responsible for day‑to‑day management and coordination of fleet operations across multiple locations in North America. The role ensures compliance with fleet policies, vendor performance, and driver support programs, executes fleet strategies, implements programs, and supports ongoing operational needs. The role also supports audit activities on a quarterly and annual basis. Scope Fleet size: Approximately 3000 vehicles (sales, field staff, executives, long‑term assignments). Key Relationships Reports to Senior Manager – Fleet Management Works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors Acts as a backup point of contact for fleet-related communications Collaborates across departments to meet current and future business needs Essential Functions Analyze data, trends, benchmarks, and best practices; report findings to leadership Perform audits on fleet data and processes Support development and delivery of communication and training programs for drivers and fleet users Monitor all aspects of fleet operations including safety, compliance, fuel, and sustainability Maintain fleet policies and communicate updates to employees and leadership Identify process improvement opportunities and implement new programs Support implementation of new fleet initiatives Conduct inventory audits and assist with insurance, maintenance, replacements, and invoice reconciliation Review and validate fleet systems to ensure data accuracy and timely updates Track KPIs including safety, cost efficiency, and driver satisfaction Support driver safety programs Benchmark safety practices and evaluate new technologies Assist in developing and improving safety processes and programs Support training initiatives related to fleet safety Investigation Management Provide documentation related to accidents and vehicle incidents Ensure records are maintained in line with company policies Supplier Management Support resolution of escalated vendor‑related issues Budget Management Review and audit monthly fleet invoices for accuracy and timeliness Partner with finance teams for reporting requirements Prepare financial reports and cost allocations Support year‑end fleet reporting Key Success Factors (Experience, Knowledge, and Skills) Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of confidentiality and professionalism Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships Strong stakeholder management across all organizational levels Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with fleet experience preferred Strong customer service and leadership skills Sound judgment and decision‑making ability Top Must‑Haves (Qualifications) Business/Fleet Management experience, including managing fleets and working with suppliers Strong organizational skills (communication, follow‑ups, coordination) 5+ years of experience managing large fleets, preferably in regulated environments Experience with safety and risk programs Exposure to company expansion initiatives, including EV/charging programs Knowledge of vehicle manufacturers Experience managing budgets, financials, and reporting Ability to work independently while collaborating when needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
