Estimator

Acme Finishing is a leader in powder and liquid coating for manufacturing companies that need reliable, consistent, on-time service. We are growing and looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Estimator to join our team.

This role is responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates by analyzing customer requests, blueprints, and production requirements while supporting our mission to Win, Grow, and Wow our customers.

What You'll Do

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting customer relationships and helping drive profitability by producing accurate quotes and pricing recommendations. Responsibilities include:

• Responding to customer quote requests in a timely manner
• Reviewing blueprints and documentation to estimate labor, material, and production costs
• Developing pricing options based on known and estimated cost criteria
• Assessing margins and recommending pricing strategies
• Preparing and delivering formal quotes on deadline
• Working closely with sales, vendors, customers, and internal teams to confirm job requirements
• Entering quotations and job details into company systems
• Tracking quoting activity, turnaround time, and hit rate performance
• Creating reports and analyzing trends to recommend pricing adjustments
• Maintaining healthy customer relationships
• Managing inventory of screens and related materials

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications include:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
• Strong Excel skills and general computer proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Sense of urgency, team focus, and customer-first mindset
• Experience in customer service, sales, and/or pricing is strongly preferred (up to 10 years ideal)
• Experience in coatings, powder coating, painting, or manufacturing finishing processes is a plus

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) OR at least 2 years of related experience/training (or equivalent combination)
