Job Description: The Assistant Athletic Trainer works with the Head Trainer on rehabilitation, prevention, and treatment of student athlete injuries. As a member of the Sports Medicine team, this position helps develop and implement safety procedures for the varsity sports teams. The Assistant Athletic Trainer acts as the first line emergency response person at practices and games. Requirements: National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification BOC certification NYS Licensure expected by the start date. First aid skills (eg. CPR) and emergency medical procedure knowledge Knowledge of kinesiology & biology Valid driver's license Ability to work some evenings and weekends Additional Information: We are hiring for 2 full-time, 12-month positions. Annual Salary: $63,360 *The hiring salary above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.
